Welcome to Autism And Us

This site was created, we feel, out of necessity for the Chapters and Families who support Autism in their communities.  We are from Windsor, Ontario Canada and have been members of our local Windsor/Essex Autism Ontario Chapter since my oldest son was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 6.  Our son is now 15. 

Through the years I, Heather,  have served on the local Chapter's board and participated in the events that have been held to support the families in our community.  We, Michael and I, have also been recipients of funds that have been raised by our local Chapter to aid in respite or summer programs for our Son.

I know that our Chapter struggles with raising funds for our family members.  We have over 278 families in Essex County that the chapter supports. We thought "Autism And Us" was a great way to take some pressure off the local Chapters by allowing their membership and their family and friends to purchase products on this site.  In turn we will donate backa portion of the sales back to a Autism Chapter of the purchasers choice.  The donation cheques will be issued within the first week of the following month the sales were finalized.

This fundraising concept is unprecedented.  With each Chapter's help we can spread the word to family and friends.  We will be adding different products to raise awareness of Autism and funds for your Chapters over the next several months.  Please check back with us often to see what is new!
